Every StoneTones wall art work has been hand-crafted by Tony Vine in his North Wales studio and workshop.
The beautiful semi-precious gemstone at the heart of each unique work has been painstakingly selected from rough rock sourced from very corner of the globe.
Slices are cut, using a diamond saw, then undergo a five day process of grinding, sanding and polishing to reveal the stunning patterns and colours, previously concealed within the rock.
Next, the polished slice is mounted on copper, brass or nickel silver that has been etched and patinated, using special chemical “recipes” and traditional methods, to produce colours and effects that will provide a harmonious and complimentary background to the stone.
The final stage of framing is to select background colours, mount card and suitable mouldings to produce the most pleasing three-dimensional effect in the completed StoneTones wall art work.
Every frame is accompanied by a personalised, signed Certificate of Authenticity that gives full details of the gemstone used, the locality of it’s origin and the supposed holistic properties and any ancient or tribal lore that may apply to the stone.
